California Artist Network

Opera Santa Barbara is seeking submissions from California based artists: singers, pianists, stage directors, conductors, and other professionals pursuing or interested in a career in opera production and administration. Artists can be considered for all available opportunities including mainstage productions or placement in our newly expanded Chrisman Studio Artist Program. It is a growing priority for Opera Santa Barbara to showcase locally and regionally based artists.

Studio Artist Auditions

Named in recognition of the support of Sarah and Roger Chrisman, the Chrisman Studio Artist Program beginning with the 21|22 Season will be making changes to the program and the audition process.

Chorus Auditions

There are no current chorus auditions scheduled. Please check back for future audition notifications. If you would like to be added to our email notifications for upcoming chorus auditions please email [email protected] with the subject line CHORUS AUDITIONS.

Supernumeraries

Supernumeraries (or “supers”) perform non-singing roles in our opera productions. Casting needs vary from production to production, but include people of all ages and types. Supers are required to attend rehearsals beginning about three weeks before the opening night of each production. If you are interested in the possibility of becoming a super, please email your resume or a summary of your stage experience to [email protected].
